Meet the owners:
Clair, Dayle and their family.
​"Welcome to our Cambridge Urban Steel website.
Cambridge Urban Steel was born out of our passion for raw steel and natural timber, creating unique and inspiring social spaces. Our friends and family are at the heart of our existence and what better way to get everyone together than in your home, outdoor spaces or meeting up at your local pub or restaurant.
The table creates the perfect platform for our family meetings, dining, entertaining our friends, thought provoking discussions, romance, reflection, reading, hobbies and homework. It's the key product in our lives.

Our steel workshop is nestled in Cambridgeshire and the City Of Cambridge is the magnet for our family. The beautiful rivers, pubs and universities provide the perfect backdrop for this vibrant, inspiring and historic City.
Our inspiration is taken from Urban living, and making the most of our social spaces whether at home, in the garden or out and about.
We have three children who all work in our family business and two Labradors, Ruby and Lola…You’ll spot them in our photoshoots. Our son Kieran writes our website blog of his travels to Europe in search of inspiration for our steel designs.
We love walking, kayaking, socialising, family dinners, vintage shopping and discovering new places!

Clair and Dayle are also the owners of KITE Utility Services Ltd, a Mechanical and Electrical Engineering company. They have coupled their design and engineering skills to create steel furniture and structures.
​
Dayle was born in Cambridge and has spent many weekends, from a young age, mooching around the craft markets and sitting in beer gardens in Cambridge City. Dayle loves to design, upcycle and create items for indoor and outdoor living.
​
Clair has a passion for creating unique, inspiring spaces and is very hands on with our product ideas.
Clair studied her degree in Cambridge and her interest in upcycling and reclaiming started whilst at Uni.
​
We love visiting local craft markets and antique fairs around Cambridge looking for new ideas and inspiration and often stopping for a beer or two along the way.
